The organization aims to address the complex challenges faced by these countries, which include political instability, economic hardship, and social unrest by conducting public forums, panel discussions, research and public policy studies.

Recent developments in Somaliland are beginning to change that narrative. This self-declared republic, which broke away from Somalia in 1991, is emerging as a source of hope for the entire region. As Somaliland strengthens its governance and identity, it offers a range of new opportunities that could benefit its own citizens as well as its neighbors in the HOA.
